The Shut Down Time Delay Relay

    When installed it will not allow the Fork lift or Cart to power on until some one is sitting in the seat. So, when you sit down you then turn on the Forklift / cart, log in to whatever telematics system that is installed. If the operator gets off the seat, the shutdown timer starts. After five seconds the unit will turn off the Forklift / cart. When the operator sits back down on the Forklift / Cart, the unit will turn back on and allow the operator to log back in to the telematics system.

   The power coming in to the unit will come from the (ING) side of the key switch. On the key switch you have the main power (BATT) post. This wire will not be touched. When you turn the key to the on position, power goes to the (ING) post on the switch. This wire will be cut. On the wire that is on the switch side will run to the power in terminal of the time delay shut down unit. The other end of the (ING) wire will go to the Power out terminal of the time delay shut down unit. The ground terminal on the time delay shut down unit will hook up to the system ground. The signal terminal on the time delay shut down unit will connect to the wire for the seat switch on the ECM.

   The power in on the time delay shut down unit range is 5 to 48vdc. The seat switch signal range is 3 to 24vdc. The time delay shut down unit time out is set at 5 seconds. at 20vdc the amps are .15
